Disconnecting Instagram only

Open your creator profile and choose Disconnect on the connected Instagram account. We delete the stored access token immediately and stop reading view counts from that account. Your Merlin Clips account and any payouts already made are unaffected.

You can also revoke access from Instagram, under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites. That has the same effect: the token stops working and we stop reading.

Deleting your whole account

Email privacy@merlinclips.com from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We will confirm, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

We remove your Google account details, your linked wallet address, any connected social accounts and their tokens, and the record of clips you submitted.

What deletion cannot reach

Payouts are USDC transfers on a public blockchain. Those transactions — the amount, the receiving wallet address, the time — are published by design and cannot be deleted by us, by you, or by anyone else. No service can promise otherwise, and one that does is describing something it cannot do.

We may also keep the minimum record of a completed payment that tax and accounting rules require us to keep.
